Face and Back Skim coat
- Insure a good bond (dry and humid) by a thin coat (high gypsum density) at the contact between the paper and the core (low density). The dense layer thickness is by about 0.5mm (2/100in).
- Ameliorate end peel by improving the bond and by giving safer running conditions.
